The News
This experimental film takes the viewer on a journey of selected visuals presented on multiple dated TVs. Paired with a hypnotizing soundscape by Steven Foster, this short film is a commentary on how the news shapes how we see the world.

Adrienne is a director and producer from Toronto. She focuses her craft in the area of music video production, and has worked with musicians including Charlotte Cornfield, Dana Gavanski and Rapport.
"The News" is a re-edit of selected clips from her band Silver Pools' newly released music video which was created for their song "A Kiss For The Swimmer".
Silver Pools' music video indulges in many themes and visual references, including celebrating early music videos through shots of the band performing in matching powder-pink overcoats, cut with shots of multiple televisions screening different images.
While editing "The News", I focused solely on the televisions. The various television screens show the weather - fluffy clouds to angry storms. How does seeing the weather affect us emotionally, especially when we are in the comfort of our own homes?
