Director Biography - Ryan Parma

Ryan Parma is a Los Angeles-based director known for his joyful and dynamic storytelling, often blending comedy, movement, and underrepresented perspectives to create engaging narratives. A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Ryan’s work is deeply influenced by his background in dance, music, and digital media.

Since earning his degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin, Ryan has directed an eclectic range of projects—from music videos and branded content to web series and narrative films. His portfolio includes collaborations with major brands and networks like Disney Channel, Netflix, Lifetime, MTV, and Warner Records, as well as artists and influencers such as Kyle Hanagami, Pentatonix, and Jolin Tsai. His ability to fuse cinematic storytelling with movement has made him a sought-after director in both traditional and new media.

Recent projects include the comedic short "Time Jump Party", a choose-your-own-adventure narrative series for the app ReelShort, and the upcoming "The New Gardener", starring Guy Branum. He also successfully crowdfunded a web series featuring Disney Princesses playing Dungeons & Dragons.

Ryan thrives on collaboration and continues to push creative boundaries, always seeking new ways to bring stories to life with heart, humor, and a distinctive visual style.
