The Nature Doc - Episode 1: Mating Season

The Nature Doc is what happens when you combine Planet Earth, The Office, and American Pie. This episode of the raunchy dark comedy starts off slow, but builds pace into a rapidly evolving case of Murphy's law. "Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong." It's Mating Season.

Director Statement

The Nature Doc is a whacky comedic brainchild of our writer. It's a blend of several forms of comedy, as well as a solid basis for introducing the main characters for a potential tv series.
Comedy is made or broken in the edit, but I believe The Nature Doc manages to showcase what we aimed for without spoon-feeding punchlines.
Stephen brought me on to this project because he believes projects suffer from one person wearing too many hats. His vision is really what brought this film together, but I appreciate him trusting me with preparing the actors for their scenes together. It's always a pleasure to work with a talented cast and crew, especially with more comedic subject matter than I'm accustomed too. We hope you enjoy.
