The Myth
Kat, a woman running from her past on the brink of suicide, is faced with a choice to leap to her death or confront the memories that haunt her. Her fall from grace lands her in the past to look upon her first love and her father, the origin or her abuse. She must choose to accept the pattern of violence and domestic abuse repeating or walk through the big red door, a portal through time, to make a new life. Kat's choice to stare down each memory leads her to her future and the ability to redefine love. The Myth includes conversations from everyday women about the healing after abuse and neglect to discover the strength, love and support within a community of women. A fully poetry narrated film, scored entirely by the voice, showcasing the power of women when released from silence.
