Jameel Anne Johnson has always been interested in the stories of strong female characters. Storytelling has been a powerful way for her to help others learn, as well as find courage and strength.
As Jameel became aware of the women of the Mughal Empire, she felt compelled to address the glaring gaps in their history.
Creating stories around worlds of strong historical women has become a passionate, creative outlet for her and an excellent way to ensure the important role of women is not forgotten in our histories.
Jameel was born in California, grew up in Missouri, and went to college in Colorado. After over thirty years of working in the finance industry, she now works full-time writing.
She currently lives in Massachusetts with her family where she loves to swim, create art, and listen to music.
