Calling for Mini-Movies for the Mouth Project
BACKGROUND: In 2017, Red Earth Theatre opened the play ‘The Mouth Project’ – a musical for everyone! Imagine a TV channel devoted entirely to your mouth and oral healthcare - with all your favorite shows - ‘StarTeeth The Final Frontier, a western with Miss Flossie, Mexican wrestling, etc'!
The Mouth Project play is a 60 minute, bilingual (Spanish-English), original musical made possible by The Healthy Challenge Grant, funded by Northern AZ Healthcare, Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation and the Arizona Community Foundation-Sedona. The purpose is to raise awareness and educate entire families about the importance of oral healthcare.
Written by Dev Ross, with 4 original songs by Shondra Jepperson, directed by Kate Hawkes, this play opened to 3 sold out live performances and 2 sold out film premieres!
We created this Film Festival to continue the fun and education of this non-profit project. Educating communities about the importance of dental hygiene in a creative way is our main goal. We want kids and adults alike to enjoy and learn from the films you create. So put your right brain into focus and help us spread the word about oral health care!
Your film will be added to the social media platforms and website for The Mouth Project.
