The Moon in Motion

The Great American Solar Eclipse from Idaho and the Tetons.

This (very) short film features footage from 7 out of 12 cameras that Australian astrophotographer Phil Hart had running on the 21st August 2017, the day a total solar eclipse traversed the United States.

Most of Phil's 400 pounds (185kg) of cameras and telescopes were onsite with his tour group at South Menan Butte, Idaho. Another two cameras were at remote locations established in the days leading up to the eclipse: Table Mountain, Wyoming looking over the Tetons and another in the foothils of the Beaverhead Mountains (south of Blue Dome) looking over the Snake River Plains of Idaho.
