The Modern Way

The Modern Way is a film set within 1980's Britain. A time where it was important for the working class youth to have an identity. The Modernist's, The Skinheads and The Bikers were just some of the subcultures in Britain that had their own way of life with their own individual styles when it came down to music and fashion . But more importantly it was a sense of belonging , A sense of purpose and for some it was about a sense of respect.

The Modern Way is a gritty drama set against the backdrop of The Mod , The Skinhead and The Biker Subcultures on the outskirts of London.

The story focuses around teenager Danni. A young girl struggling with issues at home after her mother has fallen victim to drug abuse whilst dealing with the recent loss of Danni's older brother Jack. Failing to find a sense of belonging at home Danni seeks comfort with Mason and his group of Skinheads who do not have her best interests at heart. Terry Harrison, a well respected Modernist and friend of the family comes back to town . He finds Danni on the wrong path and tries to guide her onto a better one. He tries to help her find some clarity whilst trying to open her mind to The Modernist's Way of life.

Meanwhile, three young Mod's named Frankie, Leon and Millie are looking forward to a weekend down in Brighton. Frankie takes a variety of drugs from a well known and feared Biker, Harvey Grey. Harvey expects his money from Frankie after the groups trip down to Brighton.
