"The Modelmaker - Constant Willems" takes viewers behind the scenes of the incredible artistry of Constant Willems, who spent five years at his attic, building a replica of the medieval city of Zutphen as it looked in the year 1485. The Maquette is exhibited in the Stedelijk Museum Zutphen.

Director Biography - John Post

I started my career as a Filmmaker/Animator in 2004, when a was an Art director at a Publishing house. Beside my work I made a lot of animations and film projects for museums and other businesses. In 2020 I started my own company PMP - Post Media Productions as an independent filmmaker/animator.

Director Statement

A man who works 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, for five years in a small attic room of his house on building a model and only does so at the cost of materials. That's what I call having a passion for your work. I hope that after watching this movie everyone has the same awe and admiration for the protagonist as I do.
