The Misconceptions of Love

The film follows Dani, who is seen on edge and far from happy at a supposedly joyful house party celebrating her new book.

Director Statement

The Misconceptions of Love was created as a graduation film for my Master’s degree at Central Film School. I had written and developed the story with a personal experience in mind as well as inspirations from my favourite director, Wong Kar-wai’s works in Chungking Express (1994) and Fallen Angels (1995). It is a simple story of yearning and pining over lost love which I hope the audience could empathize or even relate to. This was perhaps my most ambitious project so far as a post-graduate student. I am very proud to be able to present this film as a result of my passion for cinema. Though not without a labour of hard work and love from every cast and crew member, we were able to accomplish The Misconceptions of Love to the best of our abilities.
