The Mirror - Eternal Vacation

In the suspenseful thriller "The Mirror," a daring Robber finds himself in a life-altering situation after seeking refuge in a sinister, long-abandoned house while evading the relentless pursuit of law enforcement. Little does he know that this seemingly ordinary house holds a chilling secret—a peculiar mirror with the power to transport its unfortunate viewer into an alternate reality.

As the main Character stumbles upon the mirror within the eerie house's dimly lit confines, he inadvertently triggers its otherworldly magic. To his amazement, he finds himself transported to a captivating world where endless vacation and eternal joy reign supreme. Time seems to stand still in this paradise, and he's lured into a false sense of security, embracing the idea of a carefree existence.

However, the allure of the perfect world begins to wane as the Robber realizes the sinister undercurrents beneath the surface. He soon discovers that his newfound paradise is no longer a sanctuary but a nightmarish prison. The inhabitants of this realm, once inviting and cheerful, now transform into menacing pursuers, seeking to exact horrifying retribution upon him.

Desperate to escape, the Boy embarks on a perilous journey to return to the real world. His pursuit of freedom intensifies as he races against time, relentlessly pursued by the malevolent inhabitants who once celebrated his arrival. His destination: the ominous mirror that originally transported him. But as he reaches the mirror's threshold, his hopes are shattered—the mirror refuses to relinquish its hold.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the chase, two determined policemen, gradually piece together the enigma surrounding the abandoned house. Uncovering the truth about the Robber's connection to the sinister mirror, they find themselves drawn into a world of intrigue and danger beyond their wildest imaginations.

When one of the Detectives unwittingly enters the room containing the malevolent mirror, he is confronted with a startling sight—an agonized Boy, struggling in vain to escape his inescapable predicament. Fueled by instinct and fear, the Detective makes a split-second decision, firing his weapon at the mirror in an attempt to shatter its wicked grip on both the Robber and the world it has ensnared.

As the mirror shatters, an eerie silence falls, and the warped paradise disintegrates, leaving behind a trail of broken reflections. The movie concludes on a chilling note, with the Boy imprisoned in a distorted void—a place between realities, forever disconnected from the vacation world and unable to return to his own.

"The Mirror" serves as a haunting exploration of the duality of desires, the consequences of seeking escape, and the perilous nature of one's choices. It delves into the dark side of wish fulfillment, highlighting the ever-present tension between dreams and reality.

Director Biography - Frank Kasprzycki-Rosikon

I’m a big fan of movie production. Whilst living in Poland, at the age of 10, I set up a movie production team – I wrote scripts, recruited actors, and produced short films. Since moving to New York in 2021, my ambition has been to continue filming.

I don't know how it all initiated, but one day I started to write film scripts. Nobody told me how to do it, so I had to improvise on my own. I bought costumes in secondhand shops, I managed to convince a few friends and started shooting with my dad’s old camera. I did an online learning course about film editing and postproduction. Over the last few years, I have produced four movies which were screened during various events (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L8hmMd-phzM). It’s always an effort to convince the team and complete the whole process. It’s exhausting, but I love it.

While shooting films, my passion for music helps me. I never attended a music school, but I was lucky to have a great professor who taught me and my sister to play piano. I had several opportunities to perform, recently during a jam session in a jazz club in Harlem.
