Director Biography - Lucas K Allmon

Lucas grew up in rural Ohio, and had the luck to do it during the era of classic slasher films of the 80's, with a mom who also loved horror and Halloween
.
He worked on gore and makeup for no-budget horror flicks during college, but only dabbled in directing.

He moved to Los Angeles permanently in 2008, and while not working in the industry, has kept close ties and an insatiable lust for strange film and television.

Ultimately, he'd like to direct one of the 2 feature films or the horror anthology TV show that won't seem to leave his head.

Director Statement

The Minor Key started out as a writing exercise to create a script that took place in more or less one location. I wrote it about a building in downtown Los Angeles where a few of my friends live, and specifically one apartment that always had a very "occult vibe" (the whole building has that vibe).

When I was done with it, my friends got excited and offered it as a shooting location, and the project snowballed from there into a whirlwind production and molasses slow post-production. I learned so much from so many people and the result is amazing for the resources we had.

Can't wait to do it again.
