The Middle Men
Told through three intertwining segments, The Middle Men is a zero-budget film that tells the story of a drug deal gone wrong. When two teenagers get a summer job at a dying video store, their boss asks them to deliver a film reel to a theater across town for a midnight screening. The two get much more than they bargained for when they realize the true contents of the package: a shipment of cocaine for a local drug kingpin. Jake and Ben must deliver the package or pay the ultimate late fee: their lives.

Writer/Director Jack Nicoletti was born in Buffalo, NY to two musicians. At the age of two, his family relocated to Myrtle Beach, where he first discovered his love for film. The rest of his childhood was laden with various short movies, shot in the suburbs of Myrtle Beach, where Jack would later chose to set his first feature film "The Middle Men." When he was 9, he and his family moved back to Buffalo, where he continued his passion of film. He attended Squeaky Wheel's Buffalo Youth Media Institute. It was in Buffalo that Jack met Samuel T. Castellino, the producer of "The Middle Men." At the age of 12, Jack and his family relocated one final time to Philadelphia, PA. It was here that the idea for "The Middle Men" was born. He will be attending the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where he will continue his pursuit of becoming a professional filmmaker.
"The Middle Men" is the first feature film effort of life-long friends Jack Nicoletti and Samuel T. Castellino. The film was made with a budget of $0, relying on whatever the pair had to work with, the kindness of strangers, and sheer luck. The film was cast with professional actors from the Myrtle Beach area, all of which worked for free based on the merit of the script. Jack and Sam put many grueling hours into making sure they made the best movie they possibly could, and they would gladly do it again. They hope that you enjoy the film as much as they enjoyed making it, and they gratefully thank you for your consideration.
