Director Biography - Johnny Moon

Johnny Moon is a Korean-American filmmaker located in California, USA. Unconventional storytelling with simple, yet effective imagery is a testament to having lived in two different cultures: South Korean and American. With his experiences as a 1.5 generation, he hopes to be one of the few Korean-American filmmakers to grace Hollywood one day.

Director Statement

This story holds a special place in my heart. My grandfather, who I rarely got me meet ever since I left Korea for America, had passed in 2019. I regret not spending enough quality time with the limited number of times I visited him back in Korea. So as an honor to him and for all those who have lost our beloved, this script came at an opportune time. How do we move on from loss and grief? I hope to answer that question with this film.
