Devan Sakaria is currently a high school student in New Jersey. He has had a passion for film his entire life and is looking to pursue a career in the film industry. While mostly working on product and advertising content, he has recently ventured into the world of narrative filmmaking and hopes to hone his skills in this new genre of filmmaking.
I created this film not only as a piece of entertainment, but as a reflection on the world we live in. There are countless stories of discrimination against Muslims and Hindus that go unheard of, and even in a society where many stories of discrimination are brought to light, I believe there is no limit to how much light can be shined on these issues. This film was inspired by the chess scene in the novel, "City of Thieves," by David Benioff, and the story was adapted for my own versions of characters, setting, and social circumstances.
