The Princess and the Maid

In a 19th-century castle, Eleonore lives with her father and his servants, one of whom is Sophie, with whom she has an intimate relationship.
The father is a hunter, and the whole castle is filled with the heads of stuffed animals. One day, he tells her that a baron's son is going to ask for her hand in marriage, and he accepts.
After expressing her displeasure, she discusses it with Sophie, who asks her to run away with her that evening. Unfortunately, Father had been watching them all along.
At sunset, after much drinking with his henchmen, he grabs Sophie to organize a hunt in the forest, to hunt her down and kill her.

Director Biography - Ethel Olivia Bouleux

After spending 12 years in Martinique, in the Caribbean's, my entire family moved to Normandie.
I decided to have cinema option and specialization in high school, this is when I knew that this would be my forever work.
I became more and more passionate, about every aspect of cinema, but especially writing and directing. The simple yet powerful that is the creation of a story.
So I spent 3 years in ESRA Bretagne, private school of audiovisual. At the end f these years, I was selected to direct "La Servante" (The Princess and The Maid), a 15 minutes short movie.
It was my first pride, also my firsts mistakes and it created a tiny version of what I wish to be a feature film one day.
For my forth year, I chose to go to New York, the last optional year in partnership with Stonestreet Studio.
There, I learnt about American ways and decided when summer arrived, to put my pocket money on a 15 minute short movie "Les Maux Bleus" (Blue Words). My whole family came from France to be my actors. They kept their name, even a little bit of their personalities. And now is my moment to share these movies with you. Because cinema wouldn't exist if it wasn't for its audience.
