Imagine Tomorrow
The video, directed by Davide Armogida, portrays vocalist Mark Maension walking on a scenic bridge in the medieval “dying city” of Civita Di Bagnoreggio in Italy, while singing passionately into the camera directly at the viewer. The scenes are alternated with stock footage of war thorn zones, street protests and environmental polluting, breaking the idyllic mood and reminding the viewers of the stark contrasts of our modern world.
Live shots of the band, on the 2000yo Roman ruins of “Villa Pollio Felice” in Sorrento with a background of the Mediterranean Sea and Vesuvius Volcano, bring us back into the realm of beauty and peace as they crescendo into a majestic choir setting, shot on the marble staircase and altar of a 440yo church in the famed “Rione Sanitá” in Naples Italy, with Skye acting as conductor to her band mates and accompanying choir.
The message of the song by American band THE MAENSION, is that in a world with many ongoing issues we should never stop imagining a better tomorrow.
Video was done on an incredibly low budget and scheduled ahead of the European tour so the band members were already on location. Editing and color was done by Mark Maension himself to stay within budget.
