Connor Bushoven is a graduating senior pursuing his B.F.A. in Animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He first pitched the concept for Lumberjack in 2019, and this film marks his first directorial debut.
Connor is a technical artist specializing in 3-D modeling and texturing, and has worked in both film and games. His past projects include Enter the Oligocene VR, a SCAD collaboration with the Mace Brown Museum of Natural History. He has also worked as a 3-D Animation Intern at GWP Advertising in Montclair, NJ and as a 2-D Animation Intern at Signe Baumane Animation Studios on the feature film "My Love Affair with Marriage."
"Directing Lumberjack has definitely been the high point of my student career. This project is one of my favorites that I have ever been on because of the way that the team developed. We started out as a bunch of near-strangers, but as production continued and we worked closely together it became a true family unit--which is what Lumberjack is all about."
