The Lost Soul
My short film ‘The Lost Soul’ captures a woman feeling alone and lost in a space that she cannot get out of. The motif of the film is a woman stuck in a circle of insecurity, hiding behind a mask, trying to break free of society that makes her feel small and in a dark space about herself. This is especially expressed in the tones, music and sound effects. The short film presents a sense of the character feeling trapped and disconnected within her emotions and body movements.

I want to be a photographer whose imagery induces thought, empathy and change. My photography captures raw emotions brought on by societal pressures and is aimed at provoking the viewer to engage with the messages behind my bodies of work. I enjoy the process of translating conceptual ideas that I feel passionate about into visual imagery that people can connect to. By combining artistic disciplines to work in unison, I hope to communicate with people on a deeper level of understanding. This is why I enjoy the process of photography in its entirety, from curating the makeup, hair and choice of styling to the art direction of my sets, to producing and editing my work in a creative way.
My goal is to empower my audience through my imagery, simply allowing people to relate and feel appreciated. Knowing that we are good enough the way we are, as beauty is your true self :)
