Director Biography - Bonnie Gratz

Bonnie Gratz-Director/Screenwriter/Producer
Bonnie is an award winning director, playwright, actress and producer based in Kelowna, British Columbia. Working primarily in theatre, she has produced over 100 live shows but has also worked as a character actress in indie films and tv series since her teens. Bonnie was the star, head writer and showrunner for the parody soap opera series As The Sun Burns, producing 50 episodes for Shaw TV and Shaw online. Other forays into short film include: Hamlet NW, The Starlet and The Audition. In 2020, Bonnie's filmed production of The Pink Unicorn garnered national attention.
Also an Arts Columnist, Bonnie has been to the Oscars twice as a journalist.

Director Statement

For years I have worked on stages throughout Canada and every show means a lot-the audience-everything. There is a feeling sometimes, though, that the audience determines who you are based on their own needs. This is a film that explores what happens when that need becomes a demand.
