Matthew Hersh is a Writer / Producer / Director / Filmmaker. He got his start by working in the music industry on a variety of music videos, live concerts, and studio sessions with artists such as Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Migos, Fabolous, Eric Bellinger, Vic Mensa, and Boosie Badazz to name a few. After several years of working in the music industry he eventually transitioned into what he's truly passionate about which is film.
Matthew is a big fan of cinema, particularly the horror genre! So far he has written, produced, and directed the short films "The Demon of Doctor Knotts", "The Listing", and most recently "Bar Crawl." He has also contributed to a variety of other projects including the documentaries "Bodyguards: Secret Lives from the Watchtower", "3 Years in Pakistan: The Erik Aude Story" & "Actors Life" as well as the feature films "Killer Weekend" & "Curfew". He also helped produce the short film "Wrong Angels: An LA Story." Another notable project that Matthew has worked on is the web series WordSmyth Words of Wisdom with Grammy & Emmy award winning artist / producer Malik Yusef.
My inspiration for "The Listing" was to show what many people go through when moving to a new city. This includes dealing with a roommate that you may not know much about until it's too late.
