The Light of Benedetti's Life
Mario and Luz met in adolescence, he became a writer and she became a public employee. Together they shared life and everything they found in it, exile, success, failures, friends, love ... 60 years and 80 books later, Luz dies after suffering from a terrible disease. Mario Benedetti writes his last words dealing with his absence, until he finally walked away in silence in his last years.

Born in Uruguay i 1975, Andrés Varela has a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts from the University of Nanterre and Master's degree from the University of Censier-Sorbonne (both in Paris). He also graduated from the Municipal School of Dramatic Art in Montevideo, Uruguay. Co-director of Maracaná (2014), he also directed the show to celebrate one hundred years of tango "La Cumparsita", later screened in theaters.
