The Light Keeper

At its core, this micro short film is a meditation on creativity and passion. The imagery serves as a metaphorical journey, moving from the shadows of doubt and uncertainty into vibrant, warm hues of orange that symbolize hope, aspiration and our desire to chase our dreams.

What makes this project particularly special is that it was shot solely by the two of us. We carried all our equipment—over 20kg—cycling and hiking to remote locations, embodying the spirit of collaboration and dedication. This hands-on approach deepened our connection to the material, turning the challenges of logistics into an integral part of the creative process.

As we crafted this story, we aimed to evoke an emotional resonance that mirrors our own experiences—how the pursuit of creativity can illuminate our paths, even in the darkest moments. The interplay of light and shadow becomes a visual representation of the struggle and joy inherent in the artistic process, inviting viewers to reflect on their own journeys.

Born from spontaneity and simplicity, this project ultimately became a profound exploration of what it means to seek light in our lives. Through each meticulously planned shot, we embraced the idea that the beauty of creation lies in both the challenges we face and the triumphs we celebrate.
