Director Statement

I made this film with my two best friends from acting school because we love the same movies, we laugh at the same jokes and have the same story to tell. I am interested in unconventional love stories that reflect our experience. We're Cassavete's influenced, blue-collar hopeless romantics.

We're three men who love intense art. Reuben Barsky not only stars as Peter Gottlieb but also composed and performed all of the music for the film. Giorgio Panetta not only stars as Detective Reno, but was also instrumental at building out sets in his father's construction company's warehouse in Paterson N.J. My parents lent me their house to shoot in Brick N.J.

From the sets to the sounds, this movie is us. It's a truly authentic film, with our voice, our writing and our storytelling.

We hope you enjoy, more to come from Tookany Creek Productions.
