The Legend of Midnight

Luna, a.k.a 'Midnight,' infiltrates an encampment in search of her student, Ash, who is being held hostage by a pirate crime boss. Luna gets caught by henchmen who attempt to shoot her but she manages to defeat them. The pirate crime boss, Hatchet, forces Luna to surrender as he points a gun to Ash’s head. Luna’s presence gives Ash the strength to free himself. Hatchet nearly kills Ash, but Luna defeats Hatchet, and the two warriors emerge victorious.

Director Biography - Bill Parham, John Abb

BILL PARHAM:
I am a Screenwriter, Animator, and Amature Indie Director. I started off creating Lego Stop-Motion videos since age 9, and made my first student film, The Hellbent Case (2018), back in high school. Since then I have continued making indie projects and short form content on my YouTube Channel, Midnight Cardinal. I've also attended Forsyth Tech Community College and earned my Associates in Fines Arts before transferring to UNCSA. I'm a huge nerd for franchises such as Star-Wars, Spider-Man (my child hood) Ghostbusters, Halloween, and Evil Dead.

JOHN ABB:
I’m an American artist, 2D & 3D animator, editor, amateur film critic, and an aspiring filmmaker for the Animation Industry. I am a huge nerd and enthusiast of films and television shows, and I enjoy bringing my vision to life through art or animation, whether it is my own original work or my own interpretation of other works. I was home schooled through high school, attended The Digital Animation and Visual Effects School (The DAVE School) concentrating in CG animation and VFX, received my Associate’s in Fine Arts: Visual Arts degree from Durham Technical Community College (Summa Cum Laude, Phi Theta Kappa), and I am currently an undergraduate at The University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) in the School of Filmmaking with a concentration in Animation.

Director Statement

BILL PARHAM:
I am wanting to pursue in bringing engaging and unique stories to life as I pursue in film and other forms of medium (i.e. TV, Videogames). The Legend of Midnight is an example, as I've been wanting to create something such as this. I have my friend and Colleague, John Abb, as well as our mentors and other contributors to thank for.

JOHN ABB:
My interests are primarily in the realm of action and fiction, and to films that successfully integrate strong visuals, visual effects, and expressive forms of animation that supplement the story or the film, overall, rather than distract. The films I love inspire my creativity and encourage me in my pursuit of a career telling my own stories.
