Luo Fangbo

Luo Fangbo, a Hakka from Mei County, Guangdong, was the world’s first Chinese President, as well as the founder of Lanfang Republic. Due to his failed attempts at the provincial examination, Luo Fangbo led more than a hundred friends and relatives for a voyage and finally settled in Kalimantan, Indonesia.
As Luo Fangbo had a good cultural background, and was courageous and skilled in martial arts, he was able to unite the Chinese and work together with the natives. He was highly supported by the natives and Chinese expatriates. Hence, in 1777, he set up Lanfang Company and formed the Lanfang Republic.

Director Biography - Mu Chien Juan

阮慕箴，1994年出生臺北人，
畢業於中興大學歷史學系，
前廣告執行製片，現任臺灣吧製作人。

Mu-Chien Juan, 1994 born in Taipei city, Taiwan,
completed his B.A. degree from the National Chung Hsing University Department Of History.
Former line producer at Zen production,
now working for Taiwan Bar as a producer.
