Marek Čermák (*1991) has a Master's degree in Film and Theatre Studies from Palacky University in Olomouc. He worked for several film festivals and currently studies at the Department of Directing on FAMU and simultaneously Film Studies in the post-gradual program on Palacky University. Recently he has been working as a personal assistant to Agnieszka Holland.
Each of us has the desire to belong somewhere and to do something, but we often articulate this inner necessity to others only in such a way that it is easier to understand and accept because we are afraid that some feelings are not transferable. The film is an attempt to capture a person who can no longer be silent about such feelings because he would not only lie to others but mainly to himself. The Last Show is a movie about a man, a dog, a swamp and perhaps dreams.
