Director Biography - Dagmar Scheibenreif

Dagmar is a Director who focuses on Narrative and Commercials. Her background is in Cinematography, with experience both above and below the water (HSE).

Having started her career as a stills photographer in 1995 in Vienna she moved to London in 2000 to pursue her career in moving image. Dagmar is a graduate of the National Film & Television School (NFTS) 'Directing Commercials' Diploma which helped her to further develop her craft and delve deeper into the world of story and fiction.

At the start of 2021 she was confirmed as a finalist for the Unreal Fellowship, as part of which she created her first 3D-animated film 'The Journey'.

Dagmar intuitively works with performers and loves to analyse both story and character motivation. Her unwavering attention to detail as well as her ability to think both conceptually and strategically coupled with her technical know-how makes her stand out as Director & Storyteller.

Director Statement

Creating this Film with barely any 3D experience was an extremely tough endeavour, but in the process I really got to love Unreal Engine and the possibilities it offers to a Filmmaker and Director such as myself. The future looks extremely exciting.
