A New York City ultrarunner attempts to run the Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the John Muir Trail in Van Cortlandt Park on April 1, 2021. The current FKT is from October 2017 and is held by François D'Haene, a French elite athlete who specializes in ultra-mountain running.
