Director Statement

The starting point was a film about a Zombie with an existential crisis in a mall, after partnering up with the co-director, we remixed the idea away from existentialism and towards pop culture. Taking popular elements like raccoons, McDonald's and Looney Tunes Cartoon to shape the dynamics between the character and the environment around them.

More than 50% of the project was created during COVID-19 "social distancing"; we had to overcome various hiccups in our environment to keep a project this size under control. Communicating between core members of the team and freelancers to pick up the slack generated by these hiccups was key to sustain the quality we wanted to reach.

As artists, most of the time we will be part of a team that generates content. As students, we wanted to recreate pipelines, professional environment and scope of projects that we would want to be part of someday. Instead of creating separate reels, we took the extra step to become a short film.
