Chumar Bakhoor or Chumar Bakur is a gemstone mining area located at an elevation of 5,520 meters above the sea level in the Sumayar Valley of Nagar District, Gilgit-Baltistan Pakistan
Basically in this documentary I explore the lifestyle and the work style of the the miners who are working in the mines of Chumar Bakhoor. In the month of July, the miners starts to move towards the mines from Sumayar Valley. Majority of miners are uneducated and works without following the standard operating procedures.
The duration of the documentary is 30 minutes.
