Mona Osman is a writer, director, editor and producer based in Toronto, Ontario.
She is a French-educated queer woman of colour originally from Ottawa.
Often doing the cinematography for her works, she frequently works in 16mm and 8mm, as well as Digital. She has created a distinct style by utilizing bright and bold colours juxtaposed against dark settings.
Her filmography is a mix of both narrative and non-narrative films in the experimental, comedy, drama and horror genres. Most of her films revolve around the female experience.
Mona is currently continuing her studies in Film Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson).
