Director Biography - Maggie Kamal

Maggie is an Egyptian American filmmaker based in NYC. Maggie holds a BA degree in Mass Media & Communication and is currently pursuing her MFA in Film at the City College of New York. Her short film KOSHARY, won Best Director at the IMPRO FILM FESTIVAL at the IFC center in Brooklyn New York. I SEE YOU & THE IMMIGRANTS; two of her short films have been an official selection at the LIFT OFF GLOBAL NETWORK FILM FESTIVAL in their first-time filmmaker session and the Feminist Border Arts Film Festival. In 2019, Maggie won the Ostrovsky Family Fund grant for her screenplay MICROBUS. Microbus is currently in its post-production phase.
