He was born in Van in 1997. He completed his undergraduate studies in Drama Writing and Dramaturgy at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Uludağ University. He has published a novel called “Selase” and short stories in various magazines. He has participated in numerous short film and documentary projects. He worked as a director and editor in the documentary film “Gezek Culture in Bursa”. He received awards from national and international festivals for his first short film titled “Bell Pepper”, which he directed and wrote the screenplay for. He served on the pre-jury of the “Short Film Competition” organized within the scope of the “Gemlik Film Festival”. Currently, he is primarily working on 3D animation.
The story of this film had tremendous potential, particularly in terms of visual storytelling and thematic exploration. The unexpected shift from the theme of racism to discrimination by species had the potential to create a shocking effect on the audience. Additionally, the fact that this film had a story that could be brought to life using 3D animation techniques encouraged me to undertake this project.
The script's requirement for dialogue-free storytelling demanded great attention to artistic direction. Despite being an animated film, I focused on establishing an art direction strategy that aimed to create a realistic atmosphere as much as possible. I adopted a realistic approach in visual storytelling and editing. I preferred the use of moving cameras, detailed shots, and angles that positioned the characters in a hierarchical manner.
This film was a significant challenge for me, both as a director and artist. I simultaneously had to learn and apply 3D animation techniques. I put in great effort to meticulously consider every detail, reflect the emotional depth of the characters, and engage the audience in the story. I hope that this film leaves viewers with a thought-provoking and unforgettable experience, and that it effectively conveys its message in a lasting way.
