Director Biography - Dawson Bland

Dawson Bland is a college student at the University of Florida, from Ocala, Florida. He plans to major in English with a concentration in Film and Media Studies, with the hopes of one day working in Film and Television. He grew up watching movies of all genres and fell in love with filmmaking in high school. Ever since then he has aspired to one day see one of his films on the big screen.

Director Statement

With it being near Halloween during the time of production, I felt the need to capture the fear and horror that is associated with the holiday. When writing for this short film, I wanted to bring the audience into the story to deliver the feelings of the characters. But I also wanted to keep the audience distant, and leave them guessing.
