Born and raised in Northern Illinois, Reid Sanders is an actor, screenwriter, and director based in Colorado. He moved to Colorado Springs in 2016, graduated high school, and is now a graduate of the Colorado Film School in Denver with AAS degrees in Writing/Directing and Acting/Directing. In the summer of 2021, he and a small crew paved the way for this school to resume filmmaking post-pandemic with the production of "The House of Amygdala". HOA is the director's major short film debut. One of his main career goals is to star in and direct a feature film.
The story of "The House of Amygdala" shines a light on a dark truth of mental health. Modern medicine and therapy have evolved greatly over the years and have helped millions of people around this world. But there are still millions more who continue to lose themselves to their own minds. The human brain is as fragile as it is powerful, and it should be treated with the utmost respect. This film is a reminder that every aspect of mental health is important. Because unfortunately, many people are left behind.
