Dana Verde is an Award-winning filmmaker with an international perspective and appeal. She wrote, directed and produced the films My Daughter, The 8OOlb Gorilla, In Black & White, After, Grand Gesture, The Last Romantics, and Lock & Key. Her film Grand Gesture was nominated best feature film by HBO at the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival and her film Lock and Key won best short subject at the North Carolina Black Film Festival. Her feature screenplay The Perfect Match was produced by Queen Latifah's production company Flavor Unit and debuted at #6 in the US box office. Recently she directed her first action short, Lethal Fate, the story of a woman seeking to avenge her father's murder in the streets of Birmingham, England and co-produced and co-starred in the French drama Moments in the Quiet City. She discovered a passion for global storytelling through cinema, traveling and while living in London. Dana holds a B.A. from The New School University in Media Studies/Certificate in Screenwriting and M.A. in Filmmaking from London Film School., London UK .
