Director Biography

My full name is Kartashova Maria Evgenyevna(patronim), I was born on 20th of June 2003 in a small town named Arzamas in Russia. Both of my parents are doctors. Later my family moved to another(even smaller) town, Alexandrov. I was a straight-A student throughout my school years and later went to college to study animation. After graduation from college I’ve decided to take a Plasticine Animation course to upgrade my skills.

Hi, my name is Maria Kartashova, I am a 2D-animator. “The Horse” is my second complete animated short film. Plasticine Animation is a new technique that I’ve studied on a course by @merinovschool. This piece is really important to me, it helps me to express my feelings about my homeland and its people. I hope that my film will be able to spark emotions in you.
