I remember when I was a kid I was big into horror particularly Gothic Horror. My generation had Scary Stories, Goosebumps, and Are You Afraid of the Dark, but today I haven’t seen much in the way of horror that is aimed at kids. When I was growing up I loved the Universal Horror films. Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Mummy, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon all of them. Obviously films that old aren’t very appealing to children, but I thought if you could take those characters and present a story in a way that kids would pick up on you not only introduce them to the characters but you introduce them to the literary sources behind the characters.
