The Hole

A priest, stranded in a deep hole on a muddy highway after a roadwork mishap, spends the day waiting for help. Despite the passing cars and a boy who promises to fetch help, no one seems to care enough to assist him. As the hours drag on, a ragpicker arrives and tries to help the priest escape using a rope, but the muddy conditions make the task difficult. Frustration mounts as the priest is unable to free himself. In a moment of vulnerability, the ragpicker offers a hand to pull the priest out, but the priest, hesitant at first, finally reaches out. The moment of connection is suspended, leaving their fate uncertain.
