The Hive

A man searches for his missing daughter in post-Civil War Spain, in some remote part of Galicia. In his dreams the girl tells him that she is being held in a gigantic building. He ends up finding the building in the woods of a lost village where only men remain. They speak of a strange epidemic.

The Conscience is over.
The Hunger endures.

Writer Biography - Xurxo Avila

I am Xurxo Avila, Galician actor based in Madrid. I graduated from Royal School of Dramatic Art (RESAD), I have also studied at Acting´s Schools Corazza and Layton, as well as courses with Spanish Filmmakers Montxo Armendáriz, Jota Linares or Achero Mañas, among others. I have worked in the series "Fariña", "Vivir sin permiso" and "Tiempos de Guerra" and I have received theatre awards such as best play and best leading role for Moliére's "Tartuffe" at the Agadir International Festival.
I have been assistant director in cinema and theatre and at the moment, after writing and directing my first short film, I am preparing my first film as producer, scriptwriter and director, it is called "Slum'S Blood" and I have the role of the villain. I also write short stories, I've had some published and finally I'm preparing a graphic novel in the USA with a French cartoonist called Mathieu Baly, it's called "The Hive" and it's a script for a series that was shooting up in the post-production budget and I decided to turn it into this graphic novel.
