Austin Saxton is a filmmaker from Michigan. He lives in Metro Detroit. He wrote, narrated, illustrated and animated The Hitchhiker at the Lone Oak Tree.
The Hitchhiker at the Lone Oak Tree is my first large-scaled animation project. Originally conceived as a still image film, the scope soon grew after developing an interest in other styles, such as Terry Gilliam's cut-out work and Lotte Reiniger's shadow animations. I consider this mainly as an exercise in the form and intend to make more like this in the future.
