Sikkimese filmmaker Samten Bhutia has been actively involved in the Nepalese film industry for over a decade. He is a filmmaker, screenwriter, cinematographer, editor and a former actor. His first film ‘Letter’ was well received in Nepal and India while ‘Taandro’ was screened at various national and international film festivals, including the Dhaka International film festival. Most recently, his directorial effort 'Tara: the Lost Star' was selected for market screening at the Cannes International Film Festival.
