The Heart is a Playplace
This project is part video projection, part art installation. The final product will be projected images of people climbing over a model of a human heart. We are interested in the idea of the heart as a playground as a physical manifestation of empathy, passion, love, and emotion as part of human play. The video in this submission is of a prototype of the final installation, which will include 20-30 people projected onto the heart. The heart will measure 2 feet tall.

Jenna Jo and Nelia first met working with Mozawa, an interdisciplinary theatre company. They realized they shared similar creative vocabularies as well as a strong belief in the power of play. They drove up to Green Bay from Chicago and back in one day to see a giant duck, which says a lot about them.
Their collaborations explore bodies in space, bodies in film, and the conjunction of anatomy and emotionality.
