The Heart Revolution
The poetic science documentary THE HEART REVOLUTION takes viewers on a journey through life, from before our first heartbeat to beyond the last, playfully exploring what our heart is all about.
In every chapter of life, from pregnancy to birth, learning to walk and talk, going to school and using our brain, falling in love, becoming parents, to growing old, and dying, our heart plays an overlooked yet existential role.
If you think your heart is only a pump, you're in for a big surprise.

At age 13, director Benedikt became obsessed with finding the secret of life and started reading books to become a theoretical physicist and deliver a unified field theory. Realising that no amount of knowledge would help him grasp the mystery of life, he fell into a long, dark night of the soul. Exploring diverse spiritual traditions, his path took him beyond the well-known Eastern and Western fulfilment paradigms. He now shares his findings through films, music, articles and collages. The rest of his life is dedicated to delivering a new story of life based on a redefinition of emotions and the human heart.
I think there is sufficiently strong evidence that the heart is much more than a pump. Especially in times when artificial intelligence, consciousness, and meditation are promoted as the answers to all our questions and paths to everything we ever wanted, not discussing the heart's role feels dangerously one-sided to me.
