The Great Shark Hunt

“The Great Shark Hunt” tells the story of an expedition in Greenland by Matteo Della Bordella, Silvan Schüpbach e Christian Ledergerber during the summer of 2014.

The film is based on the pursuit of a dream. The theme, that continues all the story long, is about a little child that inspired by old legendary alpinists is going to fulfill his dream of going on an expedition in the great northern Greenland, covering 400 km by kayak to climb the 900 meter rock face called “Shark’s Tooth”.

Director Biography - Filippo Salvioni

Filippo is an italian arctic guide, filmmaker and wilderness lover.
After Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and a Master’s degree in Cinema, he travelled around the world, living and working in Canada, Iceland and Greenland. With the nature as his main muse, Filippo has consistently captured and documented some amazing adventures, from bike solo expedition in Morocco to a crazy MongolRally Experiences through Europe and Middle East.
Two years ago, he founded ExploreCulture, a Travel&VideoBlog focussing on outdoor activities and adventurous traveling and few months later Explore MediaLab.
Filippo resides in Italy at the foot of the Alps during the winter season and in Iceland during the summer season.
