The Great Release
This documentary follows the teachings of Nettie, an eccentric 85 year old fierce queen living in Brixton, London. Nettie teaches people from all different walks of life how to free the self and let go of the ego through primitive physical techniques, going back to the basics of the body.
Through this documentary we explore her ethos in a wider context, looking at the ways people use dance and movement to lose inhibition and create their own space in both public and private spaces.
