Director Biography - Ryan Jones

A Liverpool-based filmmaker; I began with making narrative shorts. I made my first short The Lure (2020) and with it, we formed a production company Hounds of the Round Table. From here we continued making further projects: Carl's Dead (2021), The Gaze (2021), and The Writer Out Of Time (2022) and most recently we have just completed our biggest project; a web series called The Graft (2022) focusing on crime in Liverpool. I aim to continue making further projects with the aim that we, Hounds of the Round Table, will garner increased success.

Director Statement

The Graft was produced with the aim of making a Scouse crime drama that was made by people in Liverpool, a series that didn't fall into stereotypes and used real-life events and adapted them for narrative purposes. We also made it for ourselves in that it felt like the natural next step and we wanted to make something on a larger scale to challenge us from a production standpoint.
