The Golden Year
Theo, a musician in recovery, attends a support group and struggles to open up about his sobriety. His pregnant girlfriend, Mia, worries about their financial future. Theo meets a producer who initially gives him hope but ultimately discourages him. Theo's sobriety is challenged, but Mia encourages him to keep working on his music. Theo manages to maintain his sobriety, juggle work and music, and prepare for the baby. He finally earns his one-year chip, and a record label owner approaches him to jump-start his music career.

In undertaking this project, my goal was to offer a compelling portrayal of the inner turmoil that individuals encounter during their path to sobriety. While some may identify with the challenges of staying afloat amidst adversity, many are unfamiliar with such circumstances.
