The Golden Script Competition is an absolute must for every budding screenwriter. The exceptional feedback I received for my entry was balanced, well thought out and constructive. It didn't list the negatives as most feedbacks do, just concentrated on the presentation and storyline to ensure it helped towards an accurate breakdown to aid the writing. It gave an insight and viewpoint that I value in order to further my work. A great competition that deserves its Golden title.

Great opportunity for writers to have people read their script, and they make a big deal of anyone shortlisted. The cash prize is only for the overall winner, but it is cool to get a digital certificate for 2nd and 3rd places. As a second place prize winner the organisers also promoted the script for me, recommending me for other contests on Film Freeway, and a this gave me a nice discount for the entry too. Was thrilled to be shortlisted, even more thrilled to be second, my confidence as a writer was waning, but its back up to the brim after entering this contest.

Thanks Ian for this amazing review!

  • This was a good screenplay to enter, as the founders are genuinely interested in promoting the writing talent involved. They communicated very clearly with us throughout the process of submissions, judging, and placement. I recommend others to submit as well.
